Two rockets fired from the Hamas-ruled Gaza Strip slammed into open fields in southern Israel overnight, without causing any casualties or damage, the Israeli military said on Saturday.

At least five people have been killed in a suspected US missile strike on a tribal district in north-west Pakistan, security officials have said.
The attack hit a suspected militant hide-out in North Waziristan, near the Afghanistan border, the officials said.

ISLAMABAD, Pakistan (CNN) — A suspected U.S. missile strike in northwestern Pakistan killed nine people Friday, two Pakistani military sources said.
The strike happened about 12:10 p.m. in a village in North Waziristan, a region near the Afghan border that is rife with Islamic extremism, the sources said.
